Singapore
6 05 2010After 58 days in Indonesia we wanted to extend our visa. By going out of Indonesia and coming back later, we could get a new 30 day visa on arrivel. First we wanted to go to Bangkok but when the riots started we decided to go to Singapore instead.
Our cosy hostel were we stayed in Singapore located in the relaxed ‘Arab Quarter’ with very nice staff.
The first day we met Tina, Dorit’s friend from Germany who spend her holiday in Singapore. She showed us around and took us to many nice places like the Swissotel, Holland village and Santosa.
The view of Singapore by night from the ‘Swiss Hotel’. The highest building in town with over 70 floors. The photo was made from the heli platform were we went to a party.
Besides the good foot in our own ‘Arab Quarter’ we went to a part of the city called ‘Little India’ because we were allowed to eat with our hands there 😉 Spicy chicken masala. And in one of the 160 malls in Singapore(!!!) with even more ‘foot courts’ we couldn’t resist a good Japanese Sushi adventure- the Sushi train.
“Batman-Tower” Shopping mall Nr.111;o)
Hehe, eating with your hands in Little India is fun (http://bigi-chris.followmysteps.de/gallery/113/DSC03188.jpg).
And yes, Singapore definitely has too many shopping malls (like Kuala Lumpur). Who is gonna buy all this stuff anyway?
Nice view from the top of the tower!!
Groetjes uit Bilbao!
